Hey there. I’m Elizabeth and I want to help you overcome the struggles that have been affecting your life.
You have been facing some difficult times and no matter what you do it seems like you can’t get ahead. You feel like you’re constantly being pulled backward no matter how hard you try to build a happy life. You might be feeling anxious and worried about things that are happening in your life or things that have happened in the past.
Maybe you’re feeling depressed and lonely and you’re not sure how to dig your way out of those feelings or you are feeling the effects of a trauma that happened in your past. Perhaps you’re struggling to overcome the negative effects from that experience and it’s affecting the way you live your life now.
I see you. I see you experiencing all of those emotions and I see the way that you are constantly fighting just to get through the day. I see you pushing yourself to be there for your friends and family and how it’s tearing you up inside.
You are constantly feeling like you’re pulled down and every time you start making headway it feels like it all falls apart again. And I am here for you. I am here to help you uncover the truth of what’s hurting your progress.
I am here to help you create the life that you want to live again. And take charge of your own life.
Helping children, teens, and adults to build awareness, to overcome the negative experiences, and to create the life they want to live.
My clients suffer from the negative effects of trauma, depression, anxiety, abuse, or violence. They are experiencing these after-effects in different stages. Some may have only recently experienced the trauma or it may even be ongoing. For others, the trauma is in their past but still affecting them in ways they never could have imagined.
Perhaps you have been the victim of domestic violence, family abuse, or intimate partner violence. Perhaps you are in a difficult relationship or out of an emotional relationship. Perhaps you have been experiencing depression or anxiety for a long time and you no longer want to live that way.
The good news is that you can overcome these traumas. You can overcome the negative experiences that have kept you down in your life and you can start to create positive experiences and a journey that you want to be on. You don’t have to live your life this way just because that’s the way it’s ‘always been.’
You can do more and I can help you to do it.
Art Therapy
Trauma, anxiety, depression, and many other experiences in your life can take several different forms. Understanding those traumas can too. That’s where art
therapy can come in because it’s a way of helping you to express yourself and your trauma in a way that feels safe.
With art therapy, you get the opportunity to show what you’re thinking and feeling about the trauma that you suffered. And also the hope and plans that you have for your future. Having the opportunity to express yourself in ways that make sense to you and that are comfortable for you, makes a huge difference in your life and your ability to overcome.
Through art therapy, my clients can experiment with different types of art and different types of expression that allow them to relinquish the thoughts and feelings that they have and keep moving forward with a positive outlook.
Therapy for Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma
Everyone experiences negative events in their lives in different ways. And no one can tell you whether the event that you have experienced is minor or major. Only you can do that. No one can tell you how long is the ‘appropriate’ time to feel any emotion or what is ‘acceptable’ when it comes to feeling anxiety, depression, or trauma.
Those words that you have likely heard far too many times from otherwise loving or well-meaning people, are not helping you to grow and overcome the experiences you have had or the emotions that you are still feeling. That is why my clients and I work on first understanding the root of their anxiety, depression, or trauma, and then on creating the path forward that works for them.
My goal is to meet each of my clients where they are at to provide them with a customized therapy plan that truly works for them and allows them to build the type of fulfilling life that they want most. By understanding your anxiety, depression, trauma, and the effects of them, you can do this too, and you can absolutely move forward.
Healing from Abuse and Violence
Abuse and violence can have a lasting impact on your life, but it is possible to overcome the effects that they can have on you. Whether you suffered abuse at the hands of a parent many years ago or an intimate partner only recently, it is possible to change the way you feel and the way you experience everything about your life moving forward.
Your abuse and your past do not need to define you. You do not need to continue to suffer from something that has happened to you. Instead, we can work together to help you understand your pain and create a path forward that helps you to achieve your goals for life.
Therapy for Children, Teens, and Families
Relationships of all types are difficult and making your way through life on its own can be as well. That’s why many children, teens, and adults can see benefits from therapy. Whether you’ve suffered from traumatic experiences or you’re simply trying to live your life in the best way possible, you can see benefits from therapy.
I can work with you to better understand your family dynamic and to create a healthy one that helps you to thrive. Together, we can understand the experiences that have shaped your family and
start to create happy milestones and experiences moving forward.
Your family, and each member of it, deserves a long and happy life. Together, we can make sure that you have the tools necessary to take that journey and to overcome traumas and difficult periods that may befall you along the way.
My Approach: Together We Can Start Where You’re At
When we work together we will focus on the experiences and events that have led you to the place you’re in now. And we will work on understanding what it takes to get you from where you are now to where you want to be.
I make sure that my clients feel welcome and understood and then I work with them to learn what they want from their lives. We will work together to discover the identity you want, through cognitive-behavioral techniques and more.
Through this process, you can become the person that you were always meant to be.
Your past may be difficult, and you may not know just how you’re going to get yourself through the present. But together we can do just that. We can work together to overcome the things that are holding you back to create a more positive future.
