Hi there! I’m Jonah. Nice to meet you.

Growing up with limited emotional support, I applied this learning experience and attributed it to how I can better support my clients. I have had a passion for helping others through psychotherapy since high school due to surrounding loved ones struggling with mental health.

I had the pleasure of learning and connecting with various cultures, communities, and spiritual groups at UC Riverside which has helped enhance my reach of various groups. I am available to all populations and my specialties are anxiety & stress management, BIPOC & Asian American Experience, trauma & depression, and neurodivergence (ADHD&ASD).

Working with Me

In our work together, my approach is person-centered, relational, and collaborative. I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment. I strive to create a space where you can show up authentically, feel genuinely heard, and explore the parts of yourself that may have been difficult to understand or express.

I weave in mindfulness-based practices, such as grounding and present-moment awareness, alongside emotion-focused and interpersonal approaches. I incorporate specific Narrative, Contextual, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to offer insight and practical strategies to carry with you beyond the therapy room and into everyday life.

I view the therapeutic relationship as a meaningful and sacred space that takes time, trust, and intention to build. I honor your unique pace and understand that growth does not always happen in traditional ways. I welcome open conversations about what feels helpful, what may not be working, and how we can continue to shape therapy around your needs.

Therapy for Anxiety

I help clients better understand their unique experiences with anxiety, including the thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and physical sensations that may accompany it. Together, we explore your triggers and patterns while developing practical tools for grounding, emotional regulation, and managing overwhelming thoughts. Rather than simply trying to “get rid” of anxiety, we work toward understanding what your anxiety may be communicating and finding ways to respond to it with greater awareness and compassion. My hope is to help you feel more grounded, more connected to yourself, and more confident in navigating the uncertainty of everyday life.

Therapy for Trauma

I offer a compassionate and paced approach to exploring trauma, with an emphasis on safety, trust, and your sense of control throughout the process. Together, we can gently explore how past experiences may be showing up in your present life while developing tools to support grounding, emotional regulation, and connection with your body. We do not have to rush into difficult experiences before you are ready. I believe healing can happen through building a stronger relationship with yourself, understanding your responses with compassion, and creating space for the parts of your story that deserve to be heard.

Therapy for Depression

Together, we can explore patterns, expectations, relationships, stressors, and experiences that may be leaving you feeling depleted or disconnected. I incorporate practical tools to support emotional regulation, coping, self-compassion, and meaningful changes in your daily life. My goal is not to push you to simply “do more,” but to help you reconnect with yourself, understand your needs, and find sustainable ways to move forward.

Therapy for Neurodiversity

I believe therapy should make room for the ways each person naturally experiences, processes, and interacts with the world. I work from a neurodiversity-affirming perspective, recognizing that differences in communication, sensory experiences, attention, emotional processing, and relationships are not things that need to be erased or “fixed.”

Together, we can explore the ways your unique brain and nervous system influence your experiences while identifying strategies that genuinely work for you. This may include navigating overwhelming and sensory needs, relationships, self-understanding, emotional regulation, identity, or the expectations that can come from trying to fit into environments that were not designed with you in mind. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, honor your needs, and develop tools that support a life that feels authentic and sustainable.

A Space to Explore & Grow

Whether you are navigating a difficult season, feeling stuck in familiar patterns, exploring your identity and beliefs, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply, you do not have to figure everything out on your own.

I welcome the opportunity to connect with you and learn more about what is bringing you to therapy. We can take the process one step at a time, at a pace that feels right for you. My hope is that our work together can be a space where you feel supported in finding your voice, understanding yourself more deeply, and discovering new ways of moving through life with greater intention, regulation, and self-compassion.
