Welcome, I’m Sudheera!
I became a psychologist out of a desire to be a source of support and light for individuals who might otherwise feel alone in their struggles. I firmly believe that everyone deserves to experience the highest quality of life possible, and my work is dedicated to helping clients move toward that goal.
I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and bring a diverse background spanning medical settings, community mental health, and university counseling centers. Currently, I provide virtual therapy, a format I truly love because it allows me to connect with and support individuals all across the state, rather than being limited to a local area.
I work with adults, and my focus areas are relationship issues, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, stress management, and burnout.
Working With Me
In our work together, my approach is person-centered, relational, and collaborative. I weave in mindfulness-based practices like grounding, alongside emotion-focused and interpersonal frameworks, helping you safely access emotions in the “here and now” and connect past patterns to present realities. I incorporate CBT and DBT as evidence-based tools, equipping you with practical skills for day-to-day life. I view the therapeutic relationship as a sacred space requiring time and effort to build, honoring your unique pace while inviting open conversation about our progress. Whether establishing rapport, setting goals, or processing life events and stressors, my priority is creating a warm, grounded environment where you feel seen, heard, and supported every step of the way.
Therapy for Anxiety
Anxiety is often used as a casual word, though the lived experience may be destabilizing and exhausting. When your mind and body constantly scan for threats and remain hypervigilant, everyday life feels challenging. I help clients understand their unique triggers, build practical coping tools, and shift the thought patterns and behaviors that amplify anxiety. Together, we work to ground, so you can manage your symptoms and feel safe in your mind and body.
Therapy for Burnout
Burnout builds quietly over time, making recovery a gradual and expected process, as humans are not built to exceed their capacity
indefinitely. Whether you are approaching burnout, already burned out, or somewhere in between, we will focus on practical strategies that honor your limits and restore your well-being. Together, we will uncover root causes, establish sustainable boundaries, and cultivate the safe space needed for you to recover and reestablish what you may need differently going forward.
Therapy for Highly Sensitive Persons/Empaths
Being a highly sensitive person or empath brings profound depth to life, even when it feels overwhelming. My goal is to help you understand these beautiful traits and see how they uniquely shape you. Together, we will help you find ways to honor and nourish your sensitivity, establish gentle boundaries and create nurturing practices so you can move through an ever-changing world feeling grounded, protected, and truly at home in yourself.
I welcome the opportunity to connect with you and help you in this season of your life. Let’s see what we can accomplish together.
