$300 for all 8 sessions; sliding scale & payment plans available

A support group to share experiences and learn Inner Child work tools for trauma recovery and embracing your whole self.

75-minute evening sessions on Thursdays, 4:30-5:45 PT | 6:30 PM - 7:45 PM CT | 7:30 PM - 8:45 PM PM ET

WHEN

GROUP GOALS
To learn, explore, and apply inner child work in one own healing process from trauma. To find community and help each other in the journey of trauma healing, self-exploration, and self-empowerment.
WEEK 1
Welcome & Introduction: What is Inner Child & Healing?
- Discuss confidentiality and establish ground rules for group safety and participation
- Psychoeducation around the term and concept of Inner Child and Healing
- Discover and explore one’s inner child and how we relate to their internal process
WEEK 2
Getting to Know Our Inner Child/ren & Our Self
- Learn about different types of inner children, namely protective parts and vulnerable, wounded, or exiled parts
- Strengthen the Self-energy to connect with inner children more intimately
WEEK 3
Finding the Inner Child/ren in Our Body
- Explore and get in touch with inner child parts by learning the signs our bodies hold
- Discuss the window of tolerance and ways to stay within it when processing past experiences or coping with current stressors
WEEK 4
The Inner World of Our Inner Child
- Explore what a parental script is and identify the operating beliefs of our inner child/ren
- Create a healing and supportive script for our inner child while also identifying their current resources
WEEK 5
Our Inner Child and Their Needs
- Explore the voice of our protective and wounded inner children to recognize their unmet needs
- Explore our relationship to our current needs and wants, how we currently cope, and how we would like to cope with our needs and wants in mind
WEEK 6
Acceptance of Our Inner World and Grief
- Explore ways to build trust with our internal world using a loving parent model
- Process emotions like grief that come along with reparenting our inner children
WEEK 7
Protecting Inner Child from Our Self-Energy
- Befriend our protective inner child parts while also exploring ways to protect the inner world through Self-leadership
- Reflect on our relationship to boundaries, including our experiences, models, challenges, practices, and challenges associated with setting boundaries
WEEK 8
Corrective Experiences, Empowerment and Closure
- Process our experience as a member of the group, highlight any insights or major takeaways
- Connect with our inner child/ren from the Self-energy
- Collectively find ways to continue providing them with corrective experience.

- You have some exposure to the inner child or parts-work and are looking to explore more
- You are currently or previously have been in therapy and are looking for group work that supplements individual therapy
THIS GROUP IS NOT RIGHT FOR YOU IF...
- You are seeking this group as a replacement for trauma therapy. This group is a support group, rather than group therapy and is intended to be a supplement to individual therapy.
- You are actively self-harming in ways that require medical attention
- You are experiencing suicidal ideation and require a higher level of care than a support group offers
