Hi! I’m Emma.

I’m really glad you’re here.

Starting therapy can feel scary — especially if you’ve spent a lot of time feeling like you didn’t quite belong or had to carry everything on your own. You might be feeling lost, stuck, overwhelmed, or just plain tired. You might also be unsure of how to start, or if this space will really be safe enough for you. If that’s where you are right now, I want you to know: you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.

Feeling like an outsider or an “other” was a common experience for me growing up. I often moved through spaces that didn’t reflect who I was — and didn’t give language to the cultural and societal pressures that shaped me. That kind of invisibility hurts. It can feel isolating, even when you’re surrounded by people. I know what it’s like to live with those feelings, and it’s a big part of what brought me to this work.

My approach to therapy is rooted in witnessing people for who they really are — not just what they’re struggling with. I truly believe that your uniqueness is part of your power. And even if that power feels far away right now, I trust that it’s still there, waiting to be reconnected with. My role is to help you feel safe enough to do that work, at your own pace.

What Working Together Might Feel Like

Clients often tell me they feel seen, supported, and accepted when we work together. They’ve described me as warm, open-minded, non-judgmental, compassionate, and deeply understanding. I’ll meet you where you are — whether you’re ready to dive deep or you need time to just breathe and feel safe.

Our work will center around your experiences, your pace, and your story. We’ll explore how your early relationships, cultural background, societal pressures, and current circumstances all shape the way you move through the world. I use an attachment-based, psychodynamic approach — with a feminist and intersectional lens — to help you make sense of both past and present experiences. Together, we’ll start connecting the dots so you can move through life with more clarity, confidence, and care for yourself.

Therapy doesn’t have to be rushed or rigid. There’s space here to go slow, to take detours, and to listen to what your mind and body are ready for. We begin wherever you need to begin.

If You’re Feeling Anxious, Overwhelmed, or Stuck

Maybe you’re carrying the weight of past trauma or loss, or you’re struggling with anxiety and self-doubt that you just can’t shake. Maybe life has felt like a series of transitions, and you’re trying to hold it all together without a chance to pause. Or maybe you feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, but don’t know how to break free.

We’ll explore what’s beneath the surface — not to dwell in the pain, but to better understand what’s been holding you back. Many people get stuck in what I call “stuckpoints” — unresolved emotional places where something painful or incomprehensible hasn’t had the space to be processed. Once we bring those into the light, you can begin to move through them and make space for change.

If You’re Neurodivergent

If you’ve ever felt like your brain just works differently — and maybe not in the way the world expects it to — I want you to know this is a space where your neurodivergence is not only respected, but valued.

Whether you’re exploring ADHD, autism, sensory processing, or executive function challenges, we’ll work with your brain, not against it. You don’t have to explain yourself here. You don’t have to mask. We’ll go at a pace that works for you.

If You’re Exploring Identity, Queerness, or Belonging

You might be questioning where you fit in. Or maybe you’ve known who you are for a while, but haven’t found a space where you can fully be that person — especially when it comes to queerness, gender, or cultural identity. As a queer therapist, I hold space for the full spectrum of your experience, whether it’s joy, grief, confusion, or clarity.

Together, we can untangle the messages you’ve internalized, heal from rejection, and help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that were never meant to be hidden.

If You’re a Teen or Young Adult (Or You Love One)

Growing up is hard — especially when you’re expected to know who you are, what you want, and how to keep up in a world that often doesn’t make sense. I love supporting teens and young adults who are figuring out who they are, especially those navigating big feelings, school pressure, identity, family dynamics, or cultural expectations.

If you’re a parent or caregiver seeking support, know that I approach family work with compassion and care. I’m here to hold space for everyone involved, with no judgment — just a commitment to helping you reconnect and move forward together.

If This Sounds Like You…

You might be someone who’s always been a little more thoughtful, a little more sensitive, or a little more curious about the deeper layers of life. Maybe you’ve felt unheard or unseen in the past, or like you’ve had to shrink yourself to keep the peace. You might be looking for real, lasting change — not just a quick fix.

If you’re open to exploring, reflecting, and gently moving through the harder parts of life with someone by your side, I’d be honored to work with you. You deserve a space that honors your story and your strength.

And if you’re not sure where to start — that’s okay. We’ll figure it out together.
