A support group to share experiences and learn tools for navigating difficult family relationships

90-minute evening sessions; on Mondays from 4:00PM - 5:15PM PT | 6:00PM - 7:15PM CT | 7:00PM - 8:15PM ET

GROUP GOALS
Gain tools for re-parenting, boundaries, and self-trust. Begin releasing responsibility that was never yours. Feel less alone and more empowered to live life on your own terms.

To the One Who Held it All
- Define and validate the eldest daughter experience
- Unpack the messaging you’ve received about what it means to be the “good daughter”
WEEK 2
The Roots of Responsibility
- Understand why you were given (or took on) so much
- Unmask the invisible contract and the emotional and cultural techniques you’ve used to survive
WEEK 3
The Good Daughter Mask
- Explore how perfectionism, control, and over-functioning protected you
- Grieve the unmet needs of childhood and persistent sense of "not enoughness"
WEEK 4
Culture, Control, and Collectivism
- Unload the cultural weight of being the daughter who “makes the family proud”
- Define your own personal values
WEEK 5
The Sibling Mirror
- Unpack sibling dynamics, guilt, and unresolved tensions
- Bear witness to the guilt and anger of your experiences
WEEK 6
Re-Parenting the Inner Child
- Meet the needs no one met for you
- Seek to increase safety and softness for your inner child
WEEK 7
Burnout, Boundaries, Belonging, and Becoming
- Bolster ability to say no without guilt, and yes to your own life
- Affirm prioritization of self
WEEK 8
Letting Go Without Losing Love
- Reclaim your story—and write a new one
- Honor your strength as you forge new dynamics

- You are an immigrant eldest daughter OR you are the eldest daughter of immigrants (e.g. parents or grandparents)
- You are a person of color, including biracial and multiracial identities
THIS GROUP IS NOT RIGHT FOR YOU IF...
- You are actively self-harming in ways that require medical attention
- You are experiencing suicidal ideation and require a higher level of care than a support group offers
