Hello, I’m Alice! I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m a Taiwanese American therapist who is passionate about creating spaces for BIPOC individuals to explore, challenge, and reclaim their unique identities and experiences. As a second-generation child of immigrants, I carry a personal awareness and appreciation for the nuances that come from holding a multicultural identity. With that in mind, my goal in the therapy room is to always show up for you with authenticity, curiosity, and respect.

I work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds who are navigating anxiety, emotional dysregulation, relational conflicts, intergenerational trauma, ADHD, career stress, and cultural identity. I also support clients looking to navigate faith and spirituality, religious trauma, grief and loss, and existentialism. Using an attachment-based, psychodynamic lens, I explore how your past experiences shape your present thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we can identify old patterns, realign to your most authentic self, and build practical strategies for growth.

What Therapy With Me Looks Like

Therapy with me feels like a safe and honest conversation. There is no right way for you to show up — you can come just as you are, at your own pace, and in a way that feels right for you. I strive to offer a collaborative, non-pathologizing space where you can be your truest self, ask the hard questions, and work through the things life has handed you.

My approach is client-centered and strengths-based. I believe that people are inherently capable, resilient, and experts of their own lives. Honoring your lived experiences is central to our work together as we shed light on your voice, values, and strengths.

Confronting your pain points can be tough, and creating change around them can be even more challenging. I’m here to walk with you through all the ambivalence, discomfort, and even fear. As we work together, you can find yourself moving beyond the roles, expectations, and pressures you’ve been carrying, allowing you to better align with who you are and bringing you relief.

If you’re navigating anxiety and stress management:

Anxiety can sometimes feel like you’re carrying an invisible weight that never fully lets up. Maybe your mind races with “what ifs,” your body feels tense even when nothing’s wrong, or it seems impossible to truly relax. You might find yourself always bracing for something to go wrong, even when you know you’re safe. Over time, this constant hypervigilance can be exhausting and leave you feeling disconnected from yourself or others.

When it comes to working with anxiety, I like to start by paying attention to how your body responds to stress. We’ll start to notice the signals your body gives and practice simple ways to help you feel steadier, safer, and more at ease in the present moment. As things begin to feel a little lighter, we can gently explore where your anxious thoughts come from and the coping habits you may have leaned on over time. This gives us space to untangle those patterns, find tools that bring real relief, and help you reconnect with a sense of calm, both in your mind and in your body.

If you’re navigating ADHD:

Living with ADHD can feel like you’re always running to a different rhythm than the world expects. You may swing between bursts of energy and focus, and then exhaustion and avoidance. Or you’ve worked twice as hard to keep up, only to feel like others still don’t see your effort. For high-achieving teens and adults, this struggle often goes unnoticed — success on the outside doesn’t always match the stress, burnout, and self-criticism happening inside.

Moving through the world with ADHD comes with its own creativity, depth, and challenges. Through our exploration of your patterns and instincts, we can begin to release some of the shame that’s built up over time and create sustainable strategies that fit who you are, not who you think you’re “supposed” to be.

If you identify as BIPOC or a child of immigrants:

Growing up as a child of immigrants often comes with both strength and struggle. You may carry values like resilience, hard work, and deep care for family, while also feeling the weight of expectations, silence around emotions, or pressure to prioritize others above yourself. These experiences can shape you in powerful ways but may also leave you unsure of how to set boundaries or feel fully seen.

In our work together, we’ll honor both the beauty and the burden of these experiences. Therapy can be a space to break intergenerational patterns that no longer serve you, navigate family conflict, and confront self-criticism, while reconnecting with your needs and desires.

If you’re navigating grief and loss:

Grief can touch every part of your life, showing up in waves of sadness, emptiness, or even numbness. It can also open up bigger questions about identity, belonging, and how to make sense of the world after everything has changed. You might wonder who you are now, what matters, or how to carry both the love and the pain.

Our work together can help you process the grief while also making space for the larger questions it raises. This is a place to honor your loss, explore your evolving identity, and gently move toward a renewed sense of purpose and connection. You’ll have a supportive space to express what feels unspeakable, explore the shifts that come with grief, and begin to rediscover your footing in a life that looks and feels different.

You deserve a space where you can be heard, understood, and supported. This is your journey, and I’d be grateful to support you along the way.
