Hello, I’m Helen.

First, I want to acknowledge your decision to start therapy. This decision might come from the realization that “something isn’t right”. You might be scared, lost, and dealing with a lot of anxiety, sadness, and grief. You may even be struggling secretly. But, you don’t have to struggle through this alone. l believe therapy is a brave space to reclaim your identity and begin learning the skills necessary to create a meaningful life. We can work together to help unlearn patterns that don’t serve you, to make space for healthy communication and peace.

Who am I?

I am a therapist who believes in relational connection. I believe that the quality of our relationships is the most important predictor of our happiness and well-being. I also believe that we are all innately capable of forming deep, meaningful, and satisfying relationships.

However, I also know that our lives are full of stress and challenges that can make it difficult to nurture our relationships. I am here to help you navigate these challenges and to cultivate the skills necessary for healthy and fulfilling relationships.

I strive to create an environment where my clients can feel free to be themselves and explore whatever topics they need to.

Moreover, I firmly believe that humor is a valuable tool in the therapeutic process. My humorous approach is based on the premise that laughter is healing and often puts things into perspective. A good sense of humor can lighten the mood, ease tension, and create a safe environment where people feel comfortable to explore the depths of their lives.

My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where people can heal, grow, and thrive.

I’m passionate about working with…

Creative Professionals, Sensitive People, and Perfectionism

I specialize in working with creatives who struggle with perfectionism. I understand the challenges that come with trying to create perfect work and the constant pursuit of excellence. I can help you to manage your perfectionism healthily so that it doesn’t hold you back from achieving your creative goals.

I understand the challenges and pressures that artists, musicians, and other creatives face in today’s world. I also know how hard it can be to meet your high standards.

I have a passion for working with creatives and I believe that everyone has the potential to be creative in some way. I will help you to tap into your creative side and to express yourself healthily and productively. That’s why I’m here to help.

I offer a supportive and non-judgmental space for you to explore your creative process. Together, we can work on overcoming the blocks that are holding you back from your fullest potential.

Therapy for Immigrants, Children of Immigrants, and Asian American Families

As an immigrant and/or child of immigrants, you may face unique challenges that can be addressed in therapy. You may feel caught between two cultures and struggling to find your place in the world. You may also be dealing with the stress of adapting to a new country and culture.

At the same time, you may also be dealing with the challenges that come with being part of the Asian American community. You may deal with racism, discrimination, and microaggressions daily. You may also struggle with the model minority myth and the pressure to succeed.

Therapy can help you deal with all of these challenges and more. By working together, we can begin to understand how these systemic oppressions affect your mental health and work towards a better future.

Therapy for Grief

There is no one right way to grieve. Everyone grieves in their way and at their own pace. Grief is a natural and normal response to loss. It is a process that can take months or even years to work through. But with time, we may come to terms with their loss and move on with their lives. Healing is not linear.

If you are seeking mental health support with grief, let’s talk about it. No one should struggle with grief alone. I’ll be there with you on this journey.

Therapy for Burnout

I understand how burnout can impact every aspect of your life and I’m here to help you get back on track. I’ll work with you to identify the root causes of your burnout and develop a plan to recover.

My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space for my clients to explore their experiences and begin to make the changes they need to feel better. I provide tools and resources to help my clients develop self-care practices and to find ways to cope with stress.

If you’re feeling lost, burned out, and like you’re struggling to keep up, please reach out. I’d be honored to help you get back to a place of feeling like yourself again.

Therapy for Anxiety

I have seen firsthand how anxiety can impact every aspect of a person’s life, from their relationships to their career.

I believe that everyone has the potential to overcome their anxiety and live a happy and fulfilling life. I am dedicated to helping my clients achieve this goal. I tailor my therapy to each individual, as I believe that everyone deserves personalized care.

What Therapy with Me Looks Like

Therapy with me is relational – I want to know you in the context of a natural conversation. You are allowed to show up as you are. You are my focus in the session and there is no alternative agenda.

You don’t have to rumble & suffer in isolation. We can work together to identify where the pain comes from & begin the journey of healing. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on this journey.  I’ll be here to listen, to understand, and to help you find your way. Schedule an appointment with me today!
