You’ve come to the right place:
I’m deeply committed to providing a safe, culturally responsive, and judgment-free space where you can openly explore your experiences, needs, and aspirations. You don’t have to navigate this alone—I’m here to support you in fostering greater empathy, self-acceptance, healing, and growth.
I’m passionate about providing:
Therapy for Anxiety / Burnout
Are you feeling overwhelmed, constantly pressured to be ‘on’ at work, and unable to truly unwind, even after hours? The stress lingers, and you’re struggling to find balance. You might try unwinding with a drink (or a few), but the stress never fully fades.
I get it. Before becoming a therapist, I spent a decade in corporate media, leading marketing teams for Fortune 500 companies while juggling the intense demands of work and motherhood. I’ve felt the adrenaline, the anxiety, and the struggle to find balance.
Whether you’re a working parent or simply feeling trapped in the chaos, I’m here to help you reclaim control. I’ll equip you with proven techniques to slow down and break free from the cycle of stress—so you can finally enjoy life outside of work.
Therapy for Couples / Interracial Couples
Are you and your partner stuck in the same arguments, struggling with communication, or feeling disconnected? Has a breach of trust left you wondering if your relationship can heal?
With over 20 years in my own interracial relationship, I understand the challenges of embracing differences. Being in a couple is about accepting each other’s unique experiences and perspectives, whether you come from the same or different cultural backgrounds. Debating who’s right or wrong—or trying to change each other—rarely works. Instead, I’ll help you listen with empathy, embrace differences, and strengthen your bond.
Whether it’s intimacy, finances, or trust, all relationships face conflict. The key isn’t eliminating challenges, but learning to fight with respect, forgive, and reconnect. Research from the Gottman Institute shows that only 31% of ongoing relationship problems are solvable—what creates lasting change is building resilience, trust, and empathy.
Therapy for Young Adults – Adulting is Hard
Your 20s and early 30s are full of life-defining decisions—career, relationships, identity, and independence. It’s an exciting yet overwhelming time, shaped by family expectations, cultural influences, and the pressure to “have it all figured out.”
I’ll help you navigate this journey as you uncover the cultural beliefs, intersecting identities, and worldviews that shape your choices. Together, we’ll explore your values and goals around work, relationships, family, and community. I’ll guide you in finding your voice, setting healthy boundaries, and confidently following your own unique path—one that aligns with your authentic self.
Therapy for Parents – Breaking the Cycle
Parenting is an emotional rollercoaster—no matter how old your kids are. It’s normal to love being a parent while missing who you were before. Balancing work, relationships, discipline, and the invisible load we carry can feel overwhelming.
I offer research-backed strategies, but more importantly, I understand the reality of navigating these challenges as a parent myself. I know how easy it is to lose your cool or act in ways you promised you wouldn’t. If you’re ready to break generational patterns and create healthier, more fulfilling relationships with your kids, I’m here to support you in a way that truly understands your experience.
Therapy for Depression / Other Mood Disorders
Life transitions—whether new beginnings, unexpected changes, or painful losses—can trigger depression and resurface old wounds. You may feel drained, disconnected, or stuck in a cycle of hopelessness. But you can regain a sense of calm, connection, and confidence again. Together, we’ll explore the situational, relational, and cultural factors behind your struggles and work to lift you out of the darkness. With tools to manage your symptoms, you’ll gain more motivation and begin healing, finding lasting peace within yourself.
Who am I?
Like many of you, I wear many hats!
I’m a South Asian-American of Indian descent, passionate about cooking with bold spices and enjoying the flavors of life. A proud New Yorker and pizza aficionado, I understand firsthand what it means to navigate two cultural identities. Growing up, I watched my immigrant parents struggle with mental health while facing isolation, discrimination, and relationship challenges in a predominantly white suburb. It’s this experience that sparked my deep passion for becoming a psychotherapist.
I didn’t take the traditional path, though. As an obedient daughter, I followed a more “practical” route and earned my MBA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. I thrived in the fast-paced, melting pot of NYC, but after a decade in the corporate world, I realized my heart wasn’t there. So, I made one of the toughest—and best—decisions of my life: to return to school, face my fears, and pursue my true calling. It’s been an incredibly rewarding journey, and I’m more present, connected, and excited about my work than ever before.
A little more about me: I’m married with two kids and two fur babies, and I live in Los Angeles, California. In my downtime, I try to stop to smell the flowers and hug the trees. I also love basking in the sun with my feet in the sand, listening to the sound of the waves. But what I love most? Cuddling up with loved ones and animals, whether we’re watching a movie, diving into a good book, or watching funny videos together.
What Therapy with Me Looks Like
Therapy is, first and foremost, a relationship. It’s about finding the right rhythm together. I offer a calm, affirming, and supportive space focused on your safety and well-being.
We’ll begin by gaining a deeper understanding of your worldview, past experiences, and how they continue to shape your life. Together, we’ll explore any lingering pain and work through the barriers holding you back. We’ll set goals, identify your values and strengths, and build the coping and communication skills you need to move forward.
I believe that recognizing behavior patterns, understanding emotions, and becoming more aware of bodily sensations are powerful tools for transformation. These can help you make more intentional decisions and engage more meaningfully with the world. The secure, loving relationships you build in therapy—and in your life—will greatly enhance your overall mental health and well-being.
I integrate evidence-based approaches, including:
EFT: Exploring underlying emotions and attachment needs that influence relationships.
Narrative Therapy: Helping you separate your identity from problem stories to shift your perspective.
Trauma-Informed CBT: Processing trauma’s impact on thoughts, emotions, and behaviors for healthier coping.
DBT: Building resilience through mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal skills.
Gottman Method: Improving communication and connection in couples through empathy, accountability, and shared meaning.
Don’t Forget, We Are All Made of Stardust
I am not the things my family did
I am not the voices in my head
I am not the pieces of the brokenness inside
I am light
